Andras Sajo, PhD

Judge at the European Court of Human Rights. He is specialised in human rights and constitutional law. Before his appointment as judge, he was professor at the Central European University in Budapest and visiting professor at various universities. He was the founder and spokesperson of the Hungarian League for the Abolition of the Death Penalty. He has been an expert for the European Commission against Racism and Intolerance of the Council of Europe and was on the board of directors of the Open Society Justice Initiative of New York.
