Juliane Kokott, PhD

Advocate General at the European Court of Justice. She was professor of German and foreign public law, international law and European law at the Universities of Augsburg (1992), Heidelberg (1993) and Düsseldorf (1994) and of International Law, International Business Law and European Law at the University of St Gallen (1999). Before her appointment as Advocate General, she was deputy judge for the Federal Government at the Court of Conciliation and Arbitration of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) and Deputy Chair of the Federal Government's Advisory Council on Global Change (WBGU, 1996). Her academic background and extensive experience of the judiciary will enable her to contribute poignantly to RELIGARE.
